Purpose: To encourage new teachers to remain in the profession. Recipients of this award must have made significant contributions toward innovative, unique and novel programs and have shown a professional commitment early in their careers. (Candidates must be new to the teaching profession, not just new to vocational-technical education.
Eligibility:
Each area will nominate one Outstanding New Teacher. The nominee will be interviewed by the THOA, Inc. Executive Board at the summer Professional Improvement Conference.
The THOA President-Elect will be the contact person for obtaining the current application.
All materials required by the application will be due at the ACTE headquarters by mid September.
