Criteria for Outstanding Vocational Educator


Purpose: To recognize vocational-technical educators, other than full-time classroom/laboratory teachers, who have recently provided or currently are providing significant contributions to professional associations and vocational-technical education programs for youth and/or adults in their fields, communities and/or states. Recipients of this award must have made significant contributions toward innovative, unique and novel programs; and/or improvement, promotion, research or development of programs of vocational-technical education.

Eligibility:

Each state may nominate one Outstanding Vocational Educator. If there is more than one nominee there will be an interview process set up by the President-Elect.

The THOA President-Elect will be the contact person for obtaining the current application.

All materials required by the application will be due at the ACTE headquarters by mid September.
